I was approached on MySpace by a free lance photographer; said I am the most suitable for their talent requirement.

This sounds too good to be true. Can I have some opinions?

I used to have a myspace but then I read loads of articles about the disadvantages and dangers and quit. The whole world is full of pedophiles, perverts and sick men trying to use a ';cyber-self'; to get girls to do webcam and other things. If you have what it takes to be a model, go through a real modelling agency. Think about it though, i read a book about modelling and it's no pic-nic. The whole industry is so cruel and brutally honest. But if it's your dream I say go ahead and get that dream. Just not through this creepy way. Trust me, there is only about 2% chance this is the real thing!

This unfortunately sounds like a much-too-creepy con job. I would strongly advise you to block/ihnore any further contacts from this person, for your own safety and well-being!
I'll bet that contact is a load of crap. If you want, email the portfolio, but not anything that has a social security number, a phone number or an address. I'd try to find out how they found your profile first. Plus, this freelance photographer may just want some photos of you to send in and get paid. I don't think this is a safe or credible contact at all.

If you want to be a model, find an actual talent agency. Don't wait for them to find you or you could be scammed. And if anyone asks you for money first, it's probably a scam.
I wouldnt work with that person that contacted you. if it sounds weird then jsut stay away from it. if u want some good pictures you sould go to a PROFESSIONAL photographer, not an amateur one. If u ever ant to shoot with somebody the most important thing other than finding out if they are legit or not is to LOOK AT THEIR WORK... look at their past pictures and see if they take some quality photos. why u trying to pay using a visa? u trying to pay before u shoot? no girl. pay after u get them done (but some require a deposit if its a large fee).


why is she asking u about a webcam? sounds like it could be one of those sex offenders. theres alot of them on mysoace! watch out. I'd jsut leave them alone and lose contact witht at person.
Read the details and it's a scam. Upon your first chat I guarantee they will ask for a deposit on some classes or to have your professional portfolio taken.

Whats your myspace address and we will decide whether we think its a hoax, but I dont see whyyouwould have to be more than five foot 5'7'; usually.
you need to check to see if she's legit. You don't know whether or not the woman is who she says she is. Just because she says shes a freelance photog don't mean she's really a photographer. for all you know the woman could turn out to be a guy and a perv and the chances of being spotted for a modeling career that is actually legit on myspace are probably slim to none

I am a photographer. I have met several women off of myspace. 2 work with me now building their portfolios and helping with building mine. We are all in the same city, and we met originaly at a Bill Millers Bar B Que. It also helps that I am listed in the phone book.





Do NOT send your images to them. Do NOT chat on YM or any other device. You need to distance yourself from them as they are nothing but bad news.

it sounds a little too good too be true to me, I woldn't email anyone i didn't know my pictures, and you should set your myspace to private because she could really be some 50 year old sexual predator who wants to rape you, or a stalker looking for pictures so he or she can more easily find you or a serial killer or something, sounds kinda scarry dosn't it? Yah I definantly wouldn't do it and would set my myspace on private like right now!!!
